Závěrečný komentář

Základem léčby psychotické depresivní epizody zůstává kombinace AD a AP. Rozvoj farmakologie umožnil použití lépe tolerovaných AP2. K dispozici nejsou práce porovnávající účinnost a snášenlivost „staré léčby“ – AP+AD (TCA) s „novou léčbou“ – SSRI (SNRI) + AP2, byť lze předpokládat lepší snášenlivost pro druhou možnost. Nejrychlejší metodou léčby psychotické deprese je použití EKT a ta by měla být aplikována u zvláště obtížných průběhů jako 1. volba. Data o pokračovací a profylaktické léčbě jsou omezená.
